Silly summer cometh

Good morning to all our readers (all two of you including my wife...and I)

There really isn't much to speak about in the world of Arsenal, now is there? It's the usual song and dance, which by the way is a great song off of Eminem's new album...uh...but the Arsenal will be linked with any number of players from here till August.

Barry to City so we can rule him out (finally). Cesc still talking about Alonso but let's be honest here, neither of them break into the starting XI for Spain so not sure if he is the steel we need down the spine. As Arseblogger alluded to, Alonso also hates Lampard. Any hater of Lampard is welcome at the Emirates! :D
There is an interview on ATVO, which Nasri speaks about becoming the defensive midfielder we need. In truth, I think Nasri is a bit light in weight to partner Cesc and Song is a better fit (strength) but it would be great to have two mids up the middle who can distribute the ball after nicking it from the opposition. If anyone can mold him into a CDM it's Arsene, too. Time will tell. Actually, time and the amount of money available will let us know if we get a defensive mid or not. I would much rather us invest in the CB pairing and depth in that position than go out and get a CDM. I think both Denilson and Song will come right, and Song can be used in CB, if needed.

Now, who to the Arsenal for CB? Tough call, huh. I think the major issue is who is available in the times of fantasy transfers but also who is at the ripe age, which will gain Arsene's interests. I hear a lot of Gooners talking about positions we need filled but rarely a suggestion of who should come to the Emirates? I personaly would like to see that young guy, Sahko, from PSG but then again I wouldn't mind having Senderos back for some cover. Let's be honest. We all were shocked by Silvestre coming to the Arsenal and he has been caught out as the marginal CB he is...it's time for him to go. I hope we can retain Gallas for one more season as the pairing with Toure was coming right...then he was knocked out for the season. Again, time and silly transfer rumors await...ideas? thoughts?
